Your sugar cravings won’t go away cold turkey.

I recently read a study that says 70–90% of people who completely cut off addictive substances like sugar from their diets end up relapsing within just a few months.

Sugar cravings are just that powerful, and I think this is just more proof how deeply ingrained our habits are, especially when it comes to essential ones like eating stuff we enjoy.

But despite the fact that we know the facts and have a pretty good sense of judgment, we find ourselves helpless to actually do better for ourselves.

“Just eat less sugar” is annoying to hear.

We’ll all heard this at some point in our lives, but we don’t actually even try to implement this suggestion in our day to day lives.

Because it’s easier said than done, right?

You’ll be shocked how quickly learning a little about 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 will change your mind.

A portion is how much food you choose to eat at one time, whether in a restaurant, from a package, or at home.

Instead of counting calories or avoiding certain foods altogether, this method puts the focus on learning what a healthy portion size of each food looks like — and sticking to it.

We know that mindlessly piling up your plate can lead to you consuming more calories or foods that you generally enjoy, ignoring those “I’m full” signals from your brain and eventually both making you feel guilty and piling on pounds.

At TNV Method, we recognize that hectic schedules often make it difficult to focus on maintaining a healthy diet. Our Transform program provides comprehensive support from a Clinical Dietitian, a Health Psychologist, and a Fitness Coach. With personalized meal plans and portion control strategies tailored to your goals, you’ll learn how to create a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. Take the first step to prioritize your well-being and make positive changes happen for you today.

Here’s an example of how you can use this method in your daily life:

⇢ Don’t grab the whole chocolate bar. Just break off one piece and walk away.

⇢ Take small bites, chew slowly, and really enjoy the taste and texture of your food.

⇢ Don’t just appreciate the flavor, appreciate how it makes you feel.

⇢ Tell yourself, out loud if you want, “I’m good”, and just move on.

How does applying portion control in your routine help?

▪️ Reduces sugar cravings.

▪️ Promotes balanced meals.

▪️ Stabilizes blood sugar levels.

▪️ Increases feelings of fullness.

▪️ Encourages healthier snack choices.

▪️ Trains your palate for less sweetness.

▪️ Reduces emotional eating.

▪️ Builds a healthier relationship with food.

Make moderation the friend who makes you laugh, not the nagging professor.

Savor, don’t stuff.
